The sixth International symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering 2018 will be held at the International Convention Centre Ghent (ICC Ghent) from October 28 to 31, 2018. The symposium is organized on behalf of the International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE) under the auspices of Ghent University. Robby Caspeele, Luc Taerwe and Dan M. Frangopol will serve as Symposium Chairs. More info can be found on the site (http://www.ialcce2018.org ).
During three days (Monday – Wednesday), Professor Caspeele invites some students to be part of unique international conference with 450+ participants. During the conference, students are invited to attend the keynote lectures from internationally very renowned top researchers and to help out (and meanwhile attend) in the parallel sessions. Furthermore, the students are also invited to attend the gala ceremony (at the UGent Aula) and assist in guiding the participants afterwards to the gala dinner.
There are approximately 400 presentations scheduled including topics in all area of civil engineering and the speakers are from all over the world. The parallel sessions take place in 9 rooms at the same time. The full program can be downloaded from www.ialcce2018.org/#/program.
If you are interested in participating in this unique event, write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know which day(s) you like to join us and for which sessions. We ask that the students subscribe for (preferably) a whole day, or alternatively a half day.
We can register about 15 students per day. We handle the principle of first come, first served.
